Hometown Animal Rescue, Inc. Mission Statement

Hometown Animal Rescue, Inc. is a group of volunteers dedicated to improving the life of Animals and their owners in our local area. We will work with local animal control shelters to build friendly animal communities. We will support activities to encourage respect and compassion for all animals and advocate responsible pet ownership. Hometown Animal Rescue, Inc. will accomplish this by sponsoring spay and neutering assistance programs, holding Low Cost Vaccine Clinics for the public, rescuing animals from local Animal Control Shelters, and providing education on responsible animal ownership. It is our desire that other areas will see the success of our network of supporters and volunteers and implement similar programs to benefit the animals and citizens of their own community.

Who are we?
  • Hometown Animal Rescue, Inc. is a small but rapidly growing Animal rescue located in Conyers, Georgia. We are not allowed by zoning to have a physical shelter so we house all our animals in foster homes.

  • We became licensed in on July 13, 2009 and soon became a non-profit corporation and are 501 (C) 3 tax exempt.

  • We serve Conyers-Rockdale County Georgia and surrounding areas.

  • Every person who works with HARI is a dedicated volunteer and loves animals. Many of the volunteers work full time jobs, as well as have families and fur babies in their care. They are dedicated and professional and give up many Saturdays to the Animals.

  • The group is led by a retired couple who dedicate their time and energies to making HARI the best it can be. This has been a dream for a long time and is finally becoming the organization they envisioned.
